Reverse mounted engines

I see the country club ultra 4 boys having their engine, trans and transfer case mounted in reverse. How do they do this and can any engine work this way without a lot of retrofitting?

Long story short they flip the diffs and run them backwards to make it all turn correctly.

Or, just buy a Pro-Fab or SCS transfer case with an extra gear. Makes them reverse rotation.
Or, build a 2gear case instead of a 3 gear.
