trying to stick here in Pollock all day so far

Rough day today. 6in to 1ft to 2ft in some spots. Made it to the bowl and slid in. Xj we were with broke his trac bar mount off the axle. Some ratchet strapping action got us good enough. It took some aeriois wooopoow to make it back up the bowl. The snow on the slabs is power/slush/water.

I would wait a few days before rolling in loon side. Some people were behind us and left. My slip in slide must have scared em off

Saw you at fresh pond. We ran wentworth to Ellis. Slippery. A lot of melt when we left. Friends Toyota lost a hub, my tj lost a sway bar mount.

I went up with my wife and 7 month old son on sunday/monday and there was no snow at the spillway, little to none on the trail. We had a nice peaceful trip to little sluice.

I'm planning to run the trail from the Tahoe side to Loon this weekend. My reports are that there is still snow in patches between Miller and Observation and that there is a tree down in Old Sluice that is blocking the trail.

Other than that you should be good.

Supposed to be some precip tonight and tomorrow morning, but it should come as rain in the Rubicon.

I had some friends go up last weekend. From their pics on FB there was some snow up past miller. They made it in fine on their razors....

No tree blocking old sluice , snow on the ground in patches between observation and lily . Lots of trees littering the big sluice , not anything impeding the trail .. Id say you're good to go

There was a monster tree parallel to the trail in the middle of Big Sluice in late December. Sounds like it has been cleared.

Just returned . Did a Friday Saturday escort service for a new wheeler .
Started snowing on the way out of the Tahoe side . Not to many people there .. Big 40 bday this weekend 17th going to spend it up there away from the city...

Loon lake....just not sure what this current little storm is doing up there....and if it will cause the trail to meet the closure water level (if they will even check it before the weekend or not either)
