Shuttle....

I did my search here and on google and can't seem to come up with what I want. I've ran the trail a few times, and have 2 trips on the books for 2019. I'm on a bit of a time constraint for a 3rd trip I want to make, and would like to save myself a half day or more and get a shuttle for my towrig/trailer from Loon to Tahoma staging.

We use shuttles here for the white water trips and such, but I can't seem to find anything like that around Tahoe for the Rubicon. Anyone know of a local contact for that, or ever use one?

Thanks in advance...

Nothing that will get you from Tahoe trailhead to Loon exists.
Besides Uber (good luck with that) or arranging for a ride or driving your rig around the lake and up 50 in the dead of night praying a cop doesn't see you.

With a built rig, we can normally drive from Observation point BACK to loon before someone can go from Observation point to Tahoma to Placerville.

Why do half the Con? Once you get to Tahoe, drive your rig approx. 3 miles from Tahoe Trailhead to West Shore Pizza (7000 West Lake Blvd. Tahoma CA. 96142 telephone 530-525-4771). Then across the street, spend the night, shit, shave, and shower at Tahoma Lodge 844-755-2226. Then run the trail back to Loon. Or have your pizza delivered to your camp at Tahoe staging & spend the night. They won't deliver beer tho. Your Welcome, Tim

Seems to be what I've come up with- nothing... I'm street legal, so no cares about running down the highway.

I was starting to thin k this was my best plan. I've never run it East to West. It seems like I'm a solid 8-9 hours drive time from OP-Tahoma-Loon. I can't imagine it'd be much different from OP back to Loon. Worst case scenario? Rock lights get used...

We always come in the tahoe side and go into Buck Island lake and camp there then maybe run Old Sluice to Little Sluice and back. It's cool to run the trail both ways, it's like whole different trail going the opposite direction. Go as far as Observation and then back. You can camp at different spots along the trail too.

Loon to Tahoma, Tahoma to Loon about a 3.5 hr trip on a summer weekend with a truck and trailer.

You would like to hire someone to go to Loon, and drive your truck and trailer to Tahoma?

If it was a Sunday, we could probably help you as we are close to the trail on weekends and would be heading home to Nevada (kind of on our way home).

I think Tim has the best idea (as usual )
