With all the un-needed BS involving Soup Bowl lately, here a vid! This was the first run in the new build.

what is the deal with the bridge? is that flood debris? was the springs flooded or evidence of a high flow?

It is flood debris. I was at Spider weekend before last and got 17" of rain in 2 1/2 days. Water in the springs came up and went down fairly quickly, but it was up to the bottom of the caretakers cabin and right at the driving level on the bridge.

Wow. It had not occurred to me it was due to flood debris. We were scratching our head wondering why someone would stack logs and wood at the foot of the bridge. Haha. Here are a few more pics. There were some good water sections - the one pictured below was the deepest section. I think it was just before Cadillac hill but cannot say for certain.

Way thick. 12" thick from shore to center. We auger drilled 4 holes. Safe for an 8 ton truck.

1 3/4" cross country ski
2" for ice skating
4" for snowmobiles, ATV's.
7" for car
8" for 2.5 ton truck
10" for 6-8 ton truck.

Ah, I see. I do understand the nuisance they could be if they were too close. Its not like they are the quietest things either.

A small group of us from Vegas went and ran the Con a couple weeks ago, didn't get many pics but it was an awesome weekend.
Happy to report the trail is not as easy as everyone said it was, although Little Sluice is basically filled in so that sucks.

At the Loon Lake sign

Heading down the slab

Couple of random trail pics

Lunch break at Spider Lake

The Soup Bowl

The Bridge

After Cadillac Hill, stopped to take in the view of the Springs below

We ran the trail in one day, about 14 hours on the trail including lunch and breaks. Next time we want to spend a night on the trail then head to Fordyce and spend a couple of days there.
