That spot topped out at 4,300. About 2.5-3 feet in the non-drifted areas. Thereís still some time for it to turn around.

Finally getting a decent storm right now, we went up yesterday to check out the beginning of the storm. Hooked the sled up to a strap for some fun

We are getting some epic snow up here. This whole KOH race team thing is really putting a dent in my snow wheeling plans.

Have you got a build thread on that rig of yours? Or any special things you've done to set it up as a winter wheeler?

No build thread. Front axle pushed forward 16" to achieve low height and some up travel and near even weight distribution .Its snow only so no skidplates. winch front and rear. High clearance rear axle, (building front axle now). And the usual compliment of transfer cases and low gears. works ok but needs to go on a diet.

The Sierras just got a great snowfall and in fact, it's still snowing.

This was my driveway this morning at 5100'

Going to hit the snow on Sunday. It's a heavy wet snow right now, not sure what it will be on Sunday.

We've had snows like this in the past (we are about 600' above the valley), but not this late.

It's some good stuff. I spent all day in Tahoe in it. Very crunchy. Packs good and hard and doesn't turn to ice unless you get stupid with the skinny pedal.

6 years of snow wheeling on this rig, lots of good times. Motor issues have taken me out of the game until next season. Needs about 3 times more power, so a different drivetrain is in order. Or start fresh. Maybe finish an old build.

What are you thinking for new build or drivetrain?

Sorry to hear that winter. It did sound a little angry when we went out. Iíd love a full build thread here in the snow forum. Info on those axles would be cool.

This is about 300m above sea level, and another half klick down the road, it was 2' deep...probably another 40-50m elevation. Crusty, but not quiiiite hard enough to walk on, instantly packing to ice as you drive in it...terrible snow. Still an awesome day out though!
