And the Old Tellico was subsidized by tax dollars. Durhamtown's Tellico is privately funded.

Hah! Sherlock Holmes! That's pretty good. Give me credit for at least getting the first name right. Your posts sound exactly like him on other forums he's on, spelling, grammar and all. I'll make it up one day. Probably on the bike first so as to scout as much as possible the first time there and save time when we haul the trucks up. I also hope it works and stays. Now to get some time. When you post up some pics, that'll get people more anxious to go.

Awesome time out there two weeks ago. There is even a trail that will take you all the way back to the old Tellico area (Fains Ford IIRC), unfortunately there is a gate there denying access. We were told it was a 2-3 hour trail ride to the gate, so we passed on it.

We should and will contact our state representative about the unrational demands put on a soul person that has put forth his own finances to bring a family enjoyed ORV park back to these mountains of WNC.Dating back to the original Tellico ORV that was On a temporary shut down, only to be decimated by heavy equipment far exceeding the destruction of native plants and wildlife than an off-road vehicle could!
