Stolen CJ7 from Alto Tx

Here's a note from a guy I know:

Quote:
My buddy got a 78 CJ7 on 39.5" boggers stolen from Shiloh. We broke the steering column about 1am, left it to work on it in the morning about 500 yards from camp and in the morning it was gone. Do me a favor and keep your eyes & ears open incase you hear anything, I know you are sorta far away from there but just incase. It's dirt brown with 11" spring over lift and 39.5" boggers. We are keeping our eyes peeled on craigslist, ect. Thanks man. Buddy is offering a cash reward for info leading to its return also.

I was there this last weekend (big green CJ5) and kind of remember that Jeep. There were a few CJs playing in the mud, but I think one was more dark blue or a dark color of some sort. Younger gruop, if I remember correctly?? There were a bunch of Jeep guys up on the hill, but those were mostly TJs and JKs. We were up fairly late both nights, there was pretty much no activity that we could hear. Sucks a-- though Wish I would of seen something.

Several of my buddies were up there this weekend wheeling. I didn't make it because my Jeep was broke. They didn't recall it, but they said they saw a bunch of Jeeps up there.

What axles were under it? What bolt pattern are the wheels? That will help us watch CL for those.

When I am at Shiloh I always tow my junk back to camp. I just don't trust all the people around there.

Jeep is doodoo brown with a white sripe down the hood and a white grill. Still finding out what axles were under it. Towing back to camp sounds like a good idea, I bet they wish they did.

Good catch on the date. My buddies didn't make it until Friday afternoon. 2 CJ5's. A black one on 37's and a green one on 38's. 2 toyhaulers and some 4 wheelers. I am not sure where they camped.

Has your buddy talked to the people that run Shiloh Ridge. There is really only one way in and one way out. They might have seen something.

I was wondering how bad the carnage was and how many pieces were ripped off of it. Mot to mention, how many other vehicles were there, like a chop shop or something.

she was stripped pretty good...lights, air cleaner, ignition, starter, diff covers, wires are a mess and battery is gone. Still has the 39.5" boggers and the BRAND new 11" lift, 4.88's and 1 piece axles... so thats a start.

Were any of the missing parts laying around where they had the Jeep? It probably won't do much good, but he should sue the guy for the cost of repairing all the crap they messed up.

Ya, I just saw your CL ad, bummer man. At least it's better than it could of been, I guess. if you can get those parts back or press charges to the money or something, that would help.

I have some 100w lights and some diff covers laying around here if you want them. I also have a ton of wire all in different colors and sizes if you need any of that stuff, too.

Thanks to everyone for the help finding my Jeep. Without forums and CL it would still be in some assholes garage. I havent posted on here before cause I wasnt approved. But anyways I truly appreciate all the help I received.
