Pictures from Twisted

This trail is pretty short but will push your suspension to the max and generally give your rig the workout of its life. This is the only trail that scares me

No go arounds, you have to do everything on this trail.

Flexy.

The waterfall.

Once you get to the top we found we couldn't make this turn, took some winching and lots of grinding to get thru.

100" WB

More

Brian took a killer line to the left, over the part we tried to turn by.

He walked it like it was nothing. Let's just say my rear leafs spring days are numbered.......

The narrows. Jack walked it wasily enough.

I couldn't hold the line (PS was about gone).

Preztled a rear spring bad enough that we dared not go back, so I pushed forward.

Stalled my winch a few times but eventually powered thru.

Built to grind Guess I didn't cut enough sheet metal off.....

Holy shat That's nuts!

I see what you mean about your rear springs, the driverside is fawked. What causes that to happen since you have properly set bumpstops and a traction bar????

1. I hate you all. That guys zuk has had an unpainted cage for at least a month. No rust...

2. I thought all of your trails had Schwazenegger names? (Terminator, 6th day, etc...) - um, twister?

I'm gonna go outside now, still jealous, and try to chisel the frozen mess off my truck.

Well, I got all the stuff to handle every situation but backing up into a verticle wall. If the tires don't climb, the whole axle moves forward by bending the one main leaf. Not sure how to combat this with leafs, military wrap would help, but would hinder flex and I bet you could still bend it.

His rig is so simple, 3 link rear, YJ S/R front, 100" WB, Stock motor, tranny, 6:1 in tcase, D44's, 5.89s? and I believe welded diffs. Steering is full hydro. The only thing he has to do is get rid of the carb and get some sort of EFI on there, he had to go up that waterfall with it floored to keep it running.

That's it, now you've done it.
(mumbling) where's my sawzall... stupid sheetmetal is outa here.

Awesome pics, great shot of rear coils ar work.

Why do you call the trail twister?

Hey TNT,
Mine thawed out last week and dumped 100 lbs of semi frozen crap onto the driveway. Last monday I had to put it into low range just to get it to move - brakes and everything else were frozen solid. Stuck in my own driveway by unseen forces.
