No those bump stops should not be riding on the axle! They are just to slow down the very last part of your compression travel.. I was wondering if the bump stops were hitting too soon before the shock does it's job.

Possible the bump stops are way too stiff too.

New gaskets, oil pump... Painted valve cover, oil pan. Looks the rain of oil has stopped. Looking into whether I need t case or diff gears swapped before I put a new seal on the back diffs small leak.

Thanks for the info. I'll be looking around for ways to test them out. See if I need to adjust them, or if they are too stiff maybe they can be softened. Sure looks like it.

JDM zuk

Not mine but something we built for a customer last week. Started with a very nice un-molested RHD high roof Jimny. Did a simple SOA with stock springs from trail tough. 32" tires and 15x8 MT wheels. I have a friend who has been importing these from Japan so we may be doing more zuk builds again.

Looking good RJG.

You might as well just chop those shock boots off lol. They're not doing anything.

Did you ever get your driveshaft vibrations sorted?

I actually just did... last off-roading trip I broke 2 of the 3 t-case mounts.. that forced me to finally install my snatch.. all is well now.. there must have been something slightly off in the driveline alignment after the new lift

Just did a stretch. Moved the front axle forward 3 inches. Then added 10 inches to the rear. Didn't match the green that well. Going to paint the whole thing after I do a little more work. It rides very nice.

Heres mine. New top, tune up and heater valve, spot treat the little rust it has. Its to be my daily driver, and family weekend cruiser. Mainly worried about reliability, and "comfort" (new seats, fix the heat, interior panels eventually). Ill lift it when it finally needs new shocks/springs. But, here in central Illinois there isnt much as far as trails go except for utv/atv trails. So, im not worried about breaking stuff trying to rock climb or anything.

Just got this red one for my son for his 16th birthday last week. It's in need of a lot of work - obviously.
