you can buy just the broken pieces for the shocks - if it was just the shafts and eyes.

Could have been worse.

I get a little mad thinking about it but then I start thinking about how bad it could have went. Could have let go have way up that climb causing a flip.

Or it could have happened WAY back in the woods. (this was 100 yards away from the trailer)

Not really, i was asking cause i have some high misalignment spacers for 1.25. I was going to use them for the wishbone axle side. I've never been against one links though, so if the set up works, i might go that route. I'll wait and see waht happens with your set up! My tracker is just sitting while i wheel the samurai.

PBB support is always good. Time to get the welding going. When you think it will be done?

It wont take long once all the parts come in. 2 weeks?

I will tack it all together then bring my Gpa's propane powered stick welder up to the garage and burn it all in. I dont trust my 110 miler anymore.

Where'd it break exactly (I'm betting weld stayed with link, & broke off of bushing tube)

Not that it matters now, but you can add a tremendous amount of strength to one of those joints by welding a "U" strap around the bushing tube & overlapping the link 2" or so, & welding it all up.

Gonna be over at Washita weekend of the 5th if you get a major fire under ya, & overnight some parts.

Thats exactly what happened. Looks like my weld didnt penetrate in to the bushing tube at all.

I'm a self-taught welder of 15 years. I usually do pretty good. This is the first weld I have ever broke. Maybe cuz it was .250 wall welding to .088 wall? maybe I had the ground on the smaller tube hence all the heat went to wards the light grounded tube.

IDK

The 5th? sorry this white boy don't work that fast.

but hit me up again for the next one. be nice to wheel with some different people every once in a while.

Didn't think of that. I have two bushings like this on my project and I will definitely use the strap idea. Keller, Sorry about the damage, but it taught me something valuable.
