Keep the red wheels, Keep the current paint, and black out the bumber and it would make for a cool hot rodish type truck.

older trailer , ugly ford .... but a lot of truck for the buck (if you need to haul a race team)

I hate this thread. So much want.

Unfortunately, this is not just a cool trucks for sale thread, but also a cool truck pics/ideas thread and we're starting to lose the earlier ads.

It would be great if somebody with a star took the time to embed all the pics.

On that bullnose Kenworth, is that lower door for a small storage/closet-type area or is there a "basement" area under the bed area?

just needs the transmission put in it.... yeah cause everyone has the means of lifting that thing up and getting the trans in there. thats probably a huge job that has to be done at a diesel shop somewhere

Wonder what engine. Probably a gasser of some sort but a diesel would be a possibility (probably not at that price though).

I see 2 sticks as well. Gotta be fun to drive that old beast.

indeed. I'd buy it, rape the hood and wheels and call the scrapper to come pick it up.

if its a DT444 could you take off the turbo and fit it to the IDI ?
or fix the engine, swap it into the U-haul (but keep the manual) and change over the hood for a newer look ... ?

I'd still be missing the proper turbo hat for my intake, and need to make all the hotside piping and charge piping.

If I was to do that, I'd just swap the thing.

I bet it doesn't take much to get it going. But since it's in Texas and I'm in Ohio.....

You know Rooster, you could use the entire chassis of the bus and maybe even the floor for your project. Cut the walls and roof off the bus and mount your trailer on that part, replace the bus cab and front clip with the Diamond T cab and front clip then fab the trailer and cab together. I can't Fotochop it but maybe you can imagine what I'm seeing in my head.

too heavy for his uses, plus airbrakes and the like.

owing to his state also being stupid he needs to stay under 26K and have hydro brakes so he's not "commercial" in any way shape or form.

last time I talked with a bus owner he told me it weighed 22.5, and that was after it had been stripped of all it's interior.
