interesting trucks for sale thread

From what I read it's no powerhouse and was used as an intermediate step to transition buyers from gasoline to diesel. Depending on the version something around 150 hp and 350 ft lbs, naturally aspirated. Good mileage and cheap maintenance meant it paid for itself quickly as an option. The DT466 was also offered, as well as the 555 cummins and some other stuff. It is too much money, but if it doesn't sell for a while and they'll come down on it then who knows?

I'd say it is.
It looks to be turn key, and if it is I'd pay what they want for it. Not sure why they went to the expense of new tires but kept the 20" wheels.

Look at it this way.
You can buy a 15 year old diesel 3/4 ton for that much money, or you can have a sweet old international MDT. Yes it will be slower, louder, probably ride like hell without a load, but it's so awesome.

I highly doubt it'd go faster than 55mph at max RPMs.

Even though half the price is probably the tires, I still think it's way too much. On the other hand, if it were a crew cab, it'd probably go for $20k.

yes, i think so too

my <T> cab had a plate in it : going faster then 48 miles will void the warranty

i usually dont like high riding trucks (unfortunately difficult to avoid with a 4x4), but that truck has a darn cool attitude

1951 M37 with some kind of diesel engine. i forgot to take pics of that. next time i drive by it ill grab a couple pics. but the engine looked all fresh. 15k is pretty pricey though. still pretty cool

Saw a 1967 Dodge Semi truck beside the road.
10 speed tranny, air brakes, 250 HP, 855 cubic inch Cummins (not turbo) not running but owner thinks he could get it running in 10 hours. He personally rebuilt the engine and tranny before buying from the company he worked for. Stored it for years planning to do a project and finally decided to let it go. "Its all there and it all needs work."

That's a decent price on that thing. To get the motor, onan, and winch for whatever project you want and you could easily make back the difference between what those are worth and the cost of the truck by selling the remaining parts and scrapping whatever was left. Or to build it would be sweet too.
