95 bronco with 12v Cummins.
Stock axles brakes and 15" tires to pull his travel trailer.
Also, gets 18mpg empty.
"Why would anyone spend all that money to make something so useless?" I found my answer on the rear bumper

Do want.

D60/Sterling and a set of 37's would make that thing badass.

I'll go get that '97 and trade ya for it

At least it appears to be a fairly well done conversion. Some axles would make that thing really good.

That appears to be a pretty well done conversion
And a good price

Too bad it's an automatic

And no mention of what kind of Trans or t case or if there is even a t case
I've seen at least one Cummins conversion that didn't have a t case at all

Too bad it's in la la land
Although he gonna have to sell it anyway since it probably can't be registered in Cali

As long as the motor is a 95+ and came from a pickup (mot a motorhome or generator) theres no reason it cant be reg in ca, youll have to run it through the bar first.

That engine was never offered in a half ton chassis. He cannot run it in California because it will not pass the referee. That is likely why it has Arizona plates

M108 Military / Army 6x6 2-1/2 Ton Truck Crane Wrecker Studebaker - $1700 (Mountainair
https://albuquerque.craigslist.org/c...314947408.html

Quote:
1953 Studebaker Wrecker Truck with stinger crane.

Does not run, engine was seized when we got it, and that was at least twenty years ago. Has been in that same spot ever since. Obviously with the engine dead we do not know anything about how well the crane, transmission, etc might work.

Engine is a gas 6 cylinder, not multi-fuel.

Weighs 19785 lbs per the data plate, so we're asking less than ten cents a pound for it.

Title is a government form 97.

Located roughly 10 miles west of Mountainair, NM.

Doesnt have to be offered in a 1/2t. Has to come from the same weight class, ie light duty truck. Ie not a motor home, mdt, or genset/water pump

That's a looooong bed. Any idea what it might have been used for?

I texted him out of curiosity.
He sounds smarter than in his ad, it's an e4od with bauman controller, 4wd works and gauges all work. It's a 92 engine.

Imo, it would be a nice build for a 4bt, but seems like a big waste for a 6bt and the end result.

I'd consider lowballing and sorting it out with bigger axles and brakes, or a 4bt for a nice daily driver.
