Holy fuck

I know a couple guys that have put those in ford pickups. One called his brother to get help replacing a clutch. "Don't call me until you put a body lift on that fucking thing"

I can only imagine how useless that thing is. But very cool anyways

That's why it's in a Landcruiser. When the vehicle is just going to get trailered between hipster car shows it doesn't matter if you can't change the belt without pulling the body.

Maybe, but it's in Australia, not sure what the hipster scene is like, or what it's intended purpose is, but it's definitely interesting

Fuckin love those guys. Haven’t started watching the v12 series yet.

One of my favorite YouTube runs so far was then running the cresta through drag week.

1964 Hanomag AL-28 RV Truck Motorhome WWII Military Transport - $4500 (Dalton Gardens)

The Hanomag AL-28 has its origin in the WWII German Military. It was redesigned post war to be a multipurpose vehicle. This vintage 1964 Hanomag AL-28 RV is one of only two present in the entire United States. It has a Mercedes engine that is powerful, and the outside has been repainted with an outdoor/hunting theme. It is 4 wheel drive and goes about 13 miles/gallon

The interior of this magnificent beast is amazing:
* Excellent, extra strong woodwork with Nordish Pine
* Refrigerator: 12V - only 0.3 kWh/day (used by NASA): works in every position
* Current: 600W! Alternator of the engine + separate Bosch generator 12 VOC/ 220/110 VAC
* Stereo: Casette Player
* Kitchen/Shower/Toilet
* Fully equipped for a long journey
* Hard to break into

Includes a repair manual and parts catalog (both in German) and a clean title.
Parts are available by Mercedes truck repair garages or from 9 Hanomag dealers in Germany.

Additional pictures available upon request. This Hanomag is being sold as part of an estate sale. The vehicle runs well, but has air brake issues. Buyer must arrange for tow/delivery. Price is firm.

Here is this Hanomag's Engine running.

When I was a kid, one of the places we hayed was this old widows run down farm on the edge of an old mill town. The barn had 4 or 5 of these lined up, already to go. I believe the story he husband plowed snow for the town up until he passed away.

Hear the place sold last year, always wondered what happened to them

That thing was on Ebay a while ago. I saw it at a truck repair shop on Tuesday when I was hauling the remains of an old shop in. It might be sold already.
