there are graphs out there depending on what you've got to give you the best mix ratio for freeze protection

Not concentrate, ready to use. I realize its not supposed to expand when it freezes, but there's no way I would trust it..

this is what froze in my shed

from the instructions:
Quote:
Because the stored system is not in use, preventing
ice crystals is not necessary, and to do so would
require the use of a more expensive product with a
higher PG content. As an example, the -50F
antifreeze has a freeze point of +20F while the
-100F antifreeze has a freeze point of about
-20F.
interesting, I didn't know that it froze in use but didn't expand. Strange stuff

Drained the system monday as we're supposed to have our first hard freeze tonight. Back-blowing the system from the kitchen sink does NOT work at all. pump must have a check valve or something in there. Drain on the tank leaves 2" of water in it. Parked on a hill and got most of it out. Disconnected all the lines and let them drain. Blew out what I could. Still not confident that it's all clear but its 10000% better than it was last year for sure.

Been using the shit outtah the bus this summer. At least 12 different outtings and 2k miles. Obligatory pic from last weekend.
