I'll take a peek tomorrow, it works great. It's only a 10 inch blade on a 12 inch saw though, bought the wrong one last time.

Old bolts beat into place to line things up, new grade 8's going in. Reamed each hole in place with a 1/2" drill, that sucked. A lot.

Bolted and torqued.

Beefy!

Got out for a day of skiing too. These mornings are so worth it.

Survivable?

Snow was GOOD!

Left the Stevns pass weekend crowd and headed to Mission Ridge. Had never skied there before! A TON of terrain for just a couple lifts.

Had to be home mid day Sunday, so we had to leave when they got a bunch of fresh snow and the no start condition came back.... Lot dudes were super friendly and tried to jump to no avail. Starter clicks but no turn. I climbed under to to the classic whack starter..... Nothing. Checked all the cable and I think I may have found the issue, the main power lug wiggles ever so slightly on the back of the starter, where you can see or barely reach..... So on cold mornings I think its just not getting enough amps to the starter. Pulling on the cable that runs to the starter worked, probably made a bit more connection. Truck started and drove home just fine. I'll disconnect all the power and see if I can get in there and clean and tighten that up.

Good job on figuring out issue and getting it fired back up, hopefully it is just a loose lug on there and not something in starter coming apart. If it is you could probably pull starter and fix it on bench but be nice if you could tighten it up on the truck and be done. Love seeing the pics of you and family using the truck and enjoying it, way too often you get to see a build and then thats it never see it after that getting used.

I tightened it up as best I could today, literally cannot get a wrench on that lug. I'm not sure I could even get it out without at least lifting the motor off the motor mount.

This is literally a dream build truck for me, I dreamed of something like this 4 years, building it and using it has been absolutely amazing. I'm super lucky to have a supportive wife!!

After a brutal Crossfit games workout Friday evening, we jumped in the truck and headed East. Sunset was great, until we found a head on accident..... Parked and jumped in the back and had dinner.

No new snow, plus weekend lines means skins cam out! Fun time, we did two full runs, and one later in the night with the pooch. 3200ft in elevation gain over the day, not bad!

Skins off at the top!

Nightime shenanigans.

Truck has been great again

Excuse the ignorance, I've never been in more than 4 inches of snow in my life. What are 'skins'?

Ha no worries! Skins take a slippery downhill ski and give it "traction" for going uphill. They hook over the tip and tail of the ski, and are sticky on the back. They are used with bindings that unclip so your heel can lift up so you can slide your way uphill. Get to the top, peel them off, clip your heels back in and ski down like a normal downhill ski!

Played Ski Chalet again this weekend. Love this truck. Drove up late Friday, and drove home late Sunday. Easy to drive and so awesome! I'm happy.

Question for you guys......
Titan Fuel tank, worth it? I don't mind stopping for gas really, but avoiding Canada gas prices would be nice.... I have heard the 51 gallon is about the same depth as factory and the 57 and 61 both hang lower. Any experience? Anyone have a used one?

Picked up a new awning on the way home thru BC, hope to have that on soon.

my dad has one of the titan tanks on his 2015 f250 and loves it. He got it so he could have more range when out with his slide in lance camper. just make sure you get your computer reprogrammed so the gauge functions properly.

Interesting, I think on my model year you just bend the sending unit a bit....

They are just stupidly expensive! And I cant locate any used units.....

Time for the new awning, this one is a Thule, found on my favorite buying place, CL. Its 1.5' longer, and extends out 2' more than the old one. Makes a huge difference!

Old one off. Its light without all the guts in it....

Of course the mounts are in different locations..... So patch up the old holes with some stainless hardware and some sealant. Don't mind the scratches.... Was not real careful when cutting the vinyl off.

New one on. Its maximizing the space, hangs over the window frame in the front and its just inside the rear wall.

Lots more shade!

Next up, rock lights, parking in the dark in rocky camp spots is interesting.... I have bottomed out and scraped the fuel tank a couple times, lights should be handy as its starting to be roll into unknown camps late at night season!

Maximize,Maximize, Maximize, I took off my cartridge type side awning attached to the slide out, it was so small it wasn't worth the effort to put out, (8 footer)

Bought a 12' power awning cut down the tube and fabric so it covers the whole slide out 11'-4"

Night and day, it is now my go-to sitting and drinking spot!

Yeah its WAY better, I had that same 8'6 one and it was pathetic.... The length I could have lived with, but it just didn't stick out far enough to do anything.

Mine stuck straight out so it didnt shade well either, getting it out wasn't too bad but putting the thing back in was a pain, if it didn't close up tight I had to get out a small ladder, just too big of a pain. Now i just push a button with a beer in my hand!

I just wish I got out as much as you seem to be doing, hopefully in the next month or two, scored another nice quad yesterday as an extra for friends, looking at another one this weekend, priced too good to pass on! At lest that is what i am telling the better half.

Where we going this weekend!

Mine never had opening/closing issues, but yeah it just didn't shade all that well.

We have been using the truck a ton! I need to change fuel filters again.... Just did the oil.... Skiing again!

One more weekend down. Weather was gorgeous, feels like spring!

Skied all night again.

And realistically probably our last real ski day for this year. Its been a good one! I forgot the tracker for two days and I think one skin also, so we hit 30 days this year and almost 400k vertical.

And what happens when you get a new vinyl cutter and are bored and want to try something big?

Bring on Spring!

Rock lights! Super handy for trying to find parking spot among boulders, especially with a long wheel base. I really liked the "puddle" lights I had under the box by the steps, so I figured I would add more! But the marker lights I used before would not work well there (under the running boards) so I got some more little waterproof cheap LED's and went to town. Sooooo much tedious wiring on your back!

I wanted these switched on from the cab, so I used the smallest upfitter switch, and wired them into that circuit. However I wanted to use the previously installed "puddle" lights also, but not have everything turn on when those where on, so I backfed that circuit with a diode between them. Perfect, cab switch turns everything on, the switch in the back only turns on the ones by the steps.

Cheap LED's

Unceremoniously glued in place.

And wala, UFO status. The other side looks the same, minus the one behind the rear wheel.... Ran out of wire! There is miles of it under there.

Next up was trim install. A little glue, some micropin nails, boom. Wish I could get the screen mold in S3S1E, but whatever, its done. Could not get it in the oak easily. Covers the caulk joint and clean up the bottom edge nicely.

And since I was feeling ambitious..... The lip on this shelf has been a scrap of 3/4 ply for ever.... Now its a proper nice piece of maple.

You rely on other climbers mounting those bolts/tie off spots?
