Weld on D rings

I have 2 trailers.

Looking to add D-Rings to both of them.

One is a single car trailer and the other is a 26ft equipt trailer.

Where can I buy some for a reasonable price that will work good?

I found this set on ebay rated for 10k each (would be fine) but they look cheap and I don't like how the part to weld on is round.

Looks like the ones I got on mine. They weld up good, even have a nice bevel for welding. I welded mine on prolly a dozen years ago and held up decent.

I’ve used some multipacks of weld on drinks I’ve found on Amazon for decent prices on my old trailer.

My current trailer is all aluminum. So I got some of the stake pocket type drop in d-ring mounts for big stuff. Then I screwed down a few chunks of e-track along the deck for flexibility tieing down smaller lighter odds and ends. What I like about the etrack is it lets me put the rings exactly where I want them in a second.

Bang, clang rattle rattle

Not to mention they suck to use, especially if they aren't in the exact perfect spot.

What's funny is I was just talking to a buddy of mine who used to heavy haul and we got on the subject of how lame d rings are.

Buyers Products usually makes the ones found at Northern, they are more expensive, but are good quality. Not sure how much I trust chineseium D-rings, but then again I am using a chineseium snatch block these days.

Also, 90% of the rattling and clanging can be fixed with a piece of rubber hose.

cool, they look the same so I took your recommendation and ordered them.

I will put 4 on my car trailer and 8 on my equipt trailer.

Thank you for the input.

I still hate using them. I'd rather just have an eye since you have to hook the chain back on its self anyway.

Really, the only way to go, is rub rails. But not as easy to add as d rings.

I assume 1/2" is sufficient for a 10k car trailer?

I ordered mine on eBay years ago too. They’re all down the side, and front and back of my car hauler. They haven’t fallen off yet. Mine were beveled as well, welded great too. I’d buy them again in a heartbeat if I built another trailer.

That's a decent deal, just ordered 8, thanks!. Trailer getting new brakes and a repack might as well quit using the stake pockets for tie-down points now.
