I have a 2004.5 LLY Duramax with the allison. Have the edge with attitude and drive on #1 all the time. Best I got was 20 (but that was with the stock 245's on the freeway to L.A.) Worse I got was 10 towing my dump trailer full of wood about 10000 pounds worth. Get about 15 empty city/freeway combo (with my 305's), because I have a lead foot and like to get in front of people when they piss me off and put it on level 5 and smoke thier ass.

Paid $31,800 for my 04.5 LLY Duramax 3500 C&C. The flatbed was another 2 grand...4WD, reg cab, ZF 6 sp manual. There were two different incentive plans going on at that time, which saved my $3000 off of the top, the rest was dealer motivated. As for mileage... interstate driving unloaded at average of 70mph = 19.2 mpg. Combined driving unloaded= 18.1 mpg. Combined towing (24' flatbed gooseneck, Jeep, stuff)= 13.6 mpg.
