FToy RSA - Second Test

July 2011

Now that the Birfields have been sorted and everything was thoroughly checked, I took it out for a test at the 4x4 track again. This time we did not break anything.

The track is used in our National 4x4 competition and forms part of the Northern region's circuit. For the majority of vehicles some of the obstacles are really challenging, but to date FTOY 001 ZA has had little trouble with them.

I am getting to know the vehicle and the challenging obstacles become less of a hassle. GREAT FUN THOUGH!!!!!

Crawling up a steep incline with loose soil and little traction. Here the tyre pressure was at 7.5psi. By selecting the right gear and having the tyres at 0.2bar, i.e. 2.9psi, makes short work of the traction problem.

Going down into this ditch seemed out of the question for my friend Johan. I told him just to trust the vehicle which brought on a big !!!

Horsing around in an area nobody uses or dare to go on the track. I wonder if the are scared of ROCK RASH? We call it the "4x4 Traction Track" due to the fact that we are the only ones using it. Traction and articulation works well!!!

That's a great feeling, wheeling in an area that everybody else thinks is "Un-wheelable"
