Head room

Man how much head room do you guys have on your f-toy setup?

Right now with the bottom of my chassis level with the frame rails with f-toy frame brackets and using 1"x1" Sq tubing for floor board frame.tubing laying on the frame. I only have a fist between my head and cage, The rear of the seat mount at floor level and the front is 2" about floor pan.

Do yall have the same problem.

It all depends on what kind of seats you are using. With Mastercraft seats and everything mounted as you described I have the fist size clearance around my head and I'm 6'2".

I believe my chassis is mounted level with the frame, and with the PRP's in mine, I have 3" over my head with a helmet on, and I'm 6'2". The back of my seats are sitting on the frame, the fronts up about 2".

i put in the seat mounts before i mounted the chassis. we ended up putting the chassis 1.5" off the top of frame rail. if i did it again i would do the same but i would also mount the seats lower than the top of the frame rails like i did the first time. even if it meant notching into the frame rail. the space under the seat ended up being waisted and the lower you get your body the better the COG is. which is a great way of dealing with COG concerns rather than the "interweb stellar idea" of running flat springs
