Steel for Floor support

I've looked at several build threads and noticed some use sq stock and a few use tubing.

What is preffered sq or round? sq seems right for this job.

Also what sq stock are you using?
1x1/8
1x3/16
1.5x?

I don't want to get anything too heavy so I can save the weight.

Thanks.

1.0" square
14g or 16g thick I think.

I like the square. It seems easier to attch to the frame and to attach tabs and stuff to as well as mount the flooring to.

use 1" sq. for the frame work then use 1.5" sq. for the mounts by removing one side making it a c-channel

1x1x.095 is the preferred material.
