Not worth reporting I broke a ring gear and ARB on the "other" Old Red Farm Truck and had to invest time and $$$ on that little situation. Going to try to finish the body work this summer.

Nothing broke on the Rubicon. I trashed the ring gear in May at Moab (while spanking Brittney Spears) Repairing/replacing that took time and $ before Rubithon.

How many times have I said IH8bodywork.......?

Well I still do. I especially dislike the grunt work like sandblasting. At least the end of that is in sight.

Check out the redneck cherry picker picking up the box so I can blast the underneath

[IMG][/IMG]

Straightening the floor is going to be especially interesting

I did finally get the fenders ready to paint. These are stock fenders widened by 4"

Jack in the second pic, where did you get that rack with the yellow bins? I am looking for one for the garage.

Thanks,
Dima

Dima, I can't remember exactly where I got that rack (15 years ago). Here are a couple of possibilities:

36 x 61" Stationary Gravity Bin Organizer with 4 x 12 x 4" Bins H-3893 - Uline

Bins, Totes & Containers | Bins-Racks & Wall Panels | Pick Rack With Akro-Mils Shelf Bins - GlobalIndustrial.com

As for you Mellonhead
So maybe Britney Spears spanked me......either way it was a fine experience

I am just having the time of my life doing bodywork on the bed It looks like at some time in this old truck's history some idiot dumped a load of rock or gravel into the box. Consequently the floor looks like ocean waves - with crests above the cross-beams and troughs between. In the picture below the trough is 3/4" below the crest in the center of the level

[IMG][/IMG]

I can't afford to replace the floor, so I am going to try to fix it. With FC187's guidance I am building a portable, C-clamp-style, press.

[IMG][/IMG]

Much like Don did on a smaller scale on the floor of Shred the RAD, I am hoping I can press the floor back into shape .......or more likely make it worse

How do you plan on keeping the ram's tooling parallel to the press platen, ie...the fixed portion

Loving the build!

Since you have widened the front fenders 4", what plans do you have to to match the extra width in the rear with the bed?

I've picked up a bed recently for my HJ45 and trying to find ideas for flares on the bed that don't look to out of place.

Not sure that I understand your concern fully, John. I am thinking that the press platen will be fixed (probably with 3 ribs). The ram will slide horizontally on the base plate and be raised "to fit" on the floor. Both upper and lower fixtures will be aligned with the ribs at the cross-members.Am I missing something????
