Here’s a few mcr18 pics. I tried doing the hardest(and dumbest) lines I could find and paid for it a little.

There was some carnage.

Leaf spring bent to hell(replaced that today), broke my 24 hour old driveshaft in half, punctured my tank in a few places, tail light(that hurts the most), and lots of body damage. Fixed the shaft and tank on the trail and kept wheeling. Louie was near so with lots of help we had my shaft back together in short time. 5 minute epoxy worked great on the tank.

But I did do some cool shit.

Tank looks great

That's quite a bit worse than mine was and I was sucking air at a little bit over 1/4 tank

I gave her a good first test haha

Ok so now that I got a good test on the truck I figured out some shit to change.

I need more uptravel.

I need a different spot for my fuel tank lol. Probably get a cell.

Different/new sliders

Front coilovers need some adjusting

My upper link is actually contacting the side of the block when the passenger side is fully drooped and the drivers side is stuffed. There’s a few marks in the plate and one mounting bolt my transmission skid mount. I just che led it out and it’s very close when stuffed and obviously moves enough to touch. So i need to move my upper link mount over about an inch toward the frame.

Here’s a pic-

Anyone have any idea on how to fix this upper link? All I can think of to do it cut of off and angle it over to get more clearance.

If I move the link mount over, bend the upper link a little and bend my panhard, I can get 3-4” more uptravel at this ride height. Which would be awesome and I think worth the work. I was having a helluva time keeping up with the buggies.

I need to cut off my frame under the rear door and redo the rear section of my frame again. I found a crack in the frame where the factory boxing ends.

So I’m thinking fix the rear frame with some 2x4 tube, link the back, fuel cell or ford tank, all new storage solution. Update the front suspension to gain a bunch of uptravel. The rear should be able to keep up with the front, and it should ride pretty nice.

I found a good deal on 5x 40” mtr sticky’s. And he basically gave me the 20 gallon fuel cell for free, which is exactly what I needed.

Now that I know the front end works pretty well I added some extra meat to the shock hoops.

And some smaller gussets in the front side. Welds turned out pretty well.

Sooooo because I can’t leave well enough alone...

I cut everything off...

Because I now have to mount the cell and the fullsize spare, I’ll have to redo everything to make it all fit together.

And this is just temporary until I can link the damn thing in the back.
