I have always loved restoring old yotas, in all their forms (Hilux's, Van, 4 Runner's, and a couple more) in my own way....

And I always thought I was pretty good at it, until NOW.

You do some quality and amazing work bro...

While I am not a body work perfectionist, nor do I lament dents, crushed panels and severe damage, I can appreciate the effort in documenting the tools, tips and materials that this thread delivers.....

I was pretty surprised the thread was back up top. I'll dig through the pics. There is more.

Thanks man. Pretty sure I posted in your van build. I still want one...
Here's another one I was doing for a friend. On hold, but hopefully back on it after summer.

Right on. It's been smashed a few times since the thread. New door, bed is still crushed... Gonna go back to a different green next time. Probably next winter I'll redo it.

Made some brackets for a pair of PRP Enduro seats. Cordura in the seating area and Daytona vinyl on the sides.

Lots of trial and error on the placement. Now I sit higher with a lot more leg room. Here's some pics of the difference between the stock seats and the PRP.

Decided to redo the stereo. First up is the door panels.
Measured everything and made a template.

1/8" spiral upcut.

Perfect fit for new style factory clips.

Top panel.

Bottom.

Same Cordura and vinyl as the seats.

Needed a bi-annual smog. Valves were getting tight. Did the adjustment and cleaned up the engine bay. Did the FJ80 brake master mod. EZ and works fantastic.

Tried my hand at tig brazing. Made a mount for the power connection.

More info on the door panel construction? I'm about to do mine, and if I could get them to come out half as good as yours I'd be happy. What did you use for foam under the vinyl and fabric? Do you staple the backside at all? What adhesive do you prefer?

Beautiful truck!
