86 Toyota truggy

I have been lurking on here for a while and figured I would finally post my build. Specs as of now: 86 4Runner swapped with 87 pick-up cab, internal cage, SAS, Detroit locker f/r, marlin ultimate duals, hydro assist and 22RE on propane.
Old build thread. 86 yota truggy | NC4x4
Day1

Wheeled it IFS style for a while then SASed it, chopped it up to a firewall buggy, stripped it down to the frame, had a buggy built(way too heavy), then put a truck cab on it.

That brings us to now. Wheeled it the way it is now and loved it.

Is there anything going on with ECORS this years? Haven't been able to find much..

Or any other racing series in the SE for that matter?

Ones for our class of vehicle.

Is a turbo class legal?

If so do it. You won't be disappointed.

I enjoy changing things up as much as the next guy, but I know lots of guys with pickups that would have loved to just swap for a 4runner which would have saved a bunch of work
Oh well, racing looks like a he'll of a good time.

Yea I haven't seen the 2016 ECORS schedule yet and turbo is not class legal. I am going to be moving to WA here shortly and racing in the PNW Off Road Racing series. I will need to look in there rule book about the turbo for that series.

Moved the spare to free up some storage space below.

Made this little 3/8-in Drive Breaker Bar and extension holder, I need to swap out that hose clamp for one you can loosen by hand.

Modified a floor jack for faster tire changes.

Back in April I made the drive from Florida to Washington where I now live. What a fun drive that was .

Now that everything is getting back to normal after the move its back at it. Got some headers and steel timing chain guides for my 22re. I am also going to throw some new rod bearings in while its apart.

fwiw, there is no mention of engine modification/forced induction in the PNWORR rules, so you should be good just a bunch of basic safety and suspension stuff

Yep!!!! I am shooting for the September 10th race at Straddeline (short course). I am going to be getting the engine running, change out all the fluids, install some window nets, do some exhaust work and service the front axle. Looking forward to doing some racing and wheeling up here in the PNW.
