They may all be through Bett's, though I doubt it. But Bett's has several different options for steel supply, testing, heat treat, assembly etc. Just like Warn has Warn winches and cheapy winches, not all products are created equal

Although i think the big deal was that CG/TG ended up somehow with Marlins six shooter design. CG didn't really "steal" anything from AP.

They couldn't keep employees, couldn't get orders right or out on time, extremely long wait on refunds, and gave the same bs excuses months after orders were placed. This was over 3 years as a dealer for them in Hawaii. Health reasons or not, they should have addressed the issues long ago. Maybe TG will get others orders out faster and with less stress than before.

I'd want to clarify that too!

Rick was an odd dude. Wheeled with him at JV during the first Tin Benders Jamboree, (the one that was supposed to be the All Pro Jamboree, but JB pulled out at the last minute), his social skills were a little lacking let's say.

Historically when the economy is good people do startups and a market segment expands, and when times are tough a market contracts either through attrition or acquisition. But there are a bunch of big mergers in all aspects of industry here lately, and I feel that is because of the re-write of the tax code is opening up access to capital that has been sitting on the sidelines or offshore for the past 10 years. I'm not sure this is the case with TG, but just a general observation.

In that case. Maybe marlin is next to be bought. Out of stock is the norm there.
