tried searching. jumping out of gear

I tried a search. My 94 pickup with manual trans wonít stay in 2nd and 4th. Iím not positive but I think it has a body lift. I bought the truck how its sits. the tires are close to 32.5Ē. Anyways if I remove the the rubber gasket and shifter boot the truck stays in gear. Iím guessing someone thats done a body has had this issue. Whats the fix?

If you have clearance in 1, 3 and 5 you could heat and bend the shifter a bit. Or remove the inner boot and notch the back of the shifter opening.

Clearance the body, lose the BL, raise the trans and case

You will probably have to cut the sheet metal.

Check to make sure your t case mount is not broken as well. Allowing the tranny to torque to one side knocking it out of gear. If not do as others have said.

Ask your boyfriend to sit on it and hold it in gear.

Did you look under it to see if it has spacers in the body mounts? How do you not know if it has a body lift?

Look here fuckstick.

If you don’t know what a body lift looks like, go by a Honda and please stay on the asphalt.

Holy shit.
