Box Rocket 1980 build

Been a while since I've been on Pirate but I'm back and looking for some info from the yota gurus. I'm in the process of building a 1980 pickup with my son and we're making some good progress.
Current state is later 22R with Weber carb. L trans.
V6 4Runner rear axle
Trussed 1983 front axle with disc brake upgrade.
3" TG front springs
Chevy 63' rears.
35's on FZJ80 wheels (for now)

I picked up a wrecked '96 Tacoma with a good drivetrain and we'll be doing a 3RZ swap hopefully this summer. Planning to use the 3RZ and the W59 with an adapter to dual gear drive tcases

But.....current dilemma is that the clutch on the L trans is toast and I don't want to throw any more money at that setup. Been searching for info and haven't found what I'm looking for, so, will the W59 mate up to the 22R? I know the W59 bellhousing can be used with a W56 trans. It would help keep the truck rolling for a bit if I can swap in the W59 behind the 22R until we're ready to swap the motor. Any insight?

Here's the truck. This is how we bought it.

Assuming you are still 4 speed?
The W will bolt up with the early bell. However ykure meft with DS drop case and it's 4" longer, so DSs etc

Yeah original trans is a L50 from what I can tell, so 4-speed. With that bell housing work with the w59? or would I need a w56 bell?

Using the taco t-case I know I'd have a driverside drop, but the plan would be to run an adapter between the trans/tcase to maintain the PS drop gear driven case.

And if I'm not mistaken all W series trans will mate to any R series motor?
