The Slow 82 Buggy Build

I have been lurking watching a lot of your guys builds and threads for some time now. I have a 89 4Runner that I sas'd and did chevy 63's in the rear. When we "finished" working on the 4Runner my dad wanted to get something so we found an 82 2wd pickup for a price we couldn't pass up.

This is my 4Runner that me and my dad learned a lot building.

Here is a few Pictures of the truck and some of the stuff we have been up to. Sorry about the messy garage we are currently in the middle of building a shop and when it is done hopefully things will speed up a little bit.

I am starting this because I am hoping along the way in this build I can learn something from you guys or someone can learn something from this thread.

Use post image.org to post pics and resize them for 19 screen.

Where did the yota axles come from? Are you gonna link this too?

Sweet, look forward to seeing a new build.

Oh and replace the warn hubs on that clean runner before they break and take out the splines on the berfs. Asin is the best selectable hub.

Thanks for the compliment on the runner and I know!! I really want to replace the warns but being a college student doesn't help with the funding of the 4Runner

I go to Barnwell Mountain a couple times a year for Jambo and the TX4wd Fall Run. Arkansas occasionally and hopefully Oklahoma soon.

Soooo...... I officially hate the 3.0. I have been trying to do a hydro assist and have had a time and a half with it. Why? IDK... I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to mount this HUGE reservoir and make everything work. Here it is. If there is any constructive criticism I would really like to hear it.

Also my question is.. is it ok to flip the cylinder and not mount the fixed side on the diff side as long as I hook up the hoses to right sides.

as long as you hook the hoses up, the cylinder doesn't care what end is where.

cooler looks good, and the reservoir looks good right there

might be worthwhile to tape up/reinforce where the hose goes through the body so that it doesn't rub a hole in the line

I am going to put a a bigger hose around those hoses and also I might wrap some tape around them also.
