After getting off the trail, drive past the cell towers about a 1/4 mile. On the left is a large open area under the trees, that is where we have stayed. I think it is best to spend the night there then leave early to beat the heat on HWY 99.

I went through there too, itís clear wide enough to get through. The stump is on the left edge, and the right half still has the big tree. I hear it was tough because hiker cars were right in the way, they had to winch instead of rolling the logs. Hikers canít get to the trailhead so they park right in front of whatís blocking the road, sounds about right.

Looking at a mid sept. Run.
Search shows a campground at the beginning, during\along the trail, but nuthin at the end.
We are 6 hrs north so the trip home will require us to get out the last day, camp out and hit it in the a.m.

So coming out at kaiser pass, what's the campground access like?
Thanx cb
lots of great camp spots toward the end of the White Bark Vista road on your left as you head down. No toilets there. but there are toilets down the road at pavement. Great views of Huntington Lk from many of the spots. you'll see the turn off spurs on the left.

We replaced it and got it done. It was a hasty build, due to time. Weíre hoping this will reduce the fighting over campsites that goes on. I was there once and a group of four rigs had three tables, another group showed up pretty unhappy about that. Itís normal to see four plus rigs at one table, so others can also have a table.

Sometimes people just suck. I have very little respect or tolerance for idiots.

The next time I run this trail I'll be retired gonna be a while...

Now that Dusy has been open for a couple of weeks, what's the condition of the trail? Tore up by Mother Nature and a fights you from end to end? Did Mother Nature fill in all the holes and it's just a Sunday drive?
I'll be on the trail at the end of the month and I would like to know what I am up against, got a couple of Dusy beginners with us this year.
Thanks JB
