CJ you are a funny guy, you cant keep one of the few trails left to your self. The nice ranger lady at pacific ranger station told me its is open with fire restrictions in place.

Just got back from Barrett. We went in Wednesday morning. The sign near Hwy 50 said it was closed, but we had heard it was open. Trail about the same as other years. Great to have the camping ourselves - we had 7 rigs. Coming out we saw about 20 rigs coming in. I bet it will be a zoo this weekend. We got off the trail about 1 Friday.

Sure nice it opened up. Too bad it was just days after fire restrictions in place. Tons of burnable branches in camp.

It was nice this weekend. Some snow still on the ground and the dust was kept down.
