I PMed Brian, we are hoping to get a few more trail cut....as soon as weather permits. We had around 7 rigs on the hill this past weekend.

We would love to have some help, preferably when we can get a large group together and get several trail cleared.
When the weather does get at least somewhat better i will post up when we will be able to do some cutting, so that anyone that would like to help can come down.
We are around 45 minutes north of Clayton.

Is that the Sunday trail or is that one of the other new trails?

What all is still open in and around Poteau? Are the trails on Poteau Mountain still open and passable(No trees down or over grown)?

There is a group of guys from Louisiana, most of which have never been to Poteau thinking of making the trip. Last time I went Poteau Mountain was pretty over grown and the other trails out of town (8 seconds & snow ball area) were closed.

Is there enough wheeling there to last 2-3 days?

I'm semi local to Poteau, but have only had the chance to get down there one time. The trails we ran were nice and clear, but you will need a local guide to find them. I think they have a few more trails open since I went, but we had a huge group of 15-16 rigs and ran 2 trials when half of them went to camp for repairs. The remaining of us ran the 3rd trail and it was darkthirty be the time we made it out. The mountain we were on is south of town a few miles and I don't recognize those names u listed, so I can't speak to them being open. Worst case, it's just an hour on down to Clayton from there........

Almost all of the old trails are on the other side of the mnt, all of the new trails are on the west side.
There are not enough trails open for 2-3 days of wheeling, with a large group you might get 2 days.
We have around 6 trails that are open and ready to wheel.

Boogie, im ready whenever...When you guys get ready to come down let me know and we will make a date for it.

Yep, just north of Clayton, there is no cost, parking is limited...but not to limited we have had over thirty rigs and haulers/trailers there at once.

All camping is primitive, but you can always stay at the Days Inn in Poteau and get a discount, price is earlier in the thread.

You will need someone local to find the trails, most are not very visible to the general public.

I would love to see someone GPS all the trails so we could do a Google maps overlay to make them easier to find.
