Smile Green Acres / Clayton Info Please

Hello -

A group of us are headed to Clayton/Green Acres this weekend and I was looking for some info on the place like how much it costs to get in, is there camping on site, etc..... I have done a google search and I cannot find a website. Do any of y'all have info please?

Thanks,

Meg

Rudy charges $20 a day. You can dry camp on the airstrip which is just inside the pay station. We were there 2 weeks ago Have Fun Try to get a map downloaded before you get there.

They are open 7 days a week 24 hours a day. There is a drop box to put your money in.

That sucks if it's legit. Hopefully it's not gone for good...

We have had our annual Christmas/mid December run up there for it must be close to 20 years. Really hope we don't have to cancel.

That's good to hear.

I'm kind of curious what got the rumor started now.... But it's none of my business. Need to get my YJ back in order and hit up the hills some more before they truly are closed.

It was just a misunderstanding and the involved parties worked it out. All clear!

Yes. Dale's Propane. It's just north of town on hwy 271.
I'm assuming fork lift bottles fill just like other cylinders? I get the20lb bottles for my forge refilled there.

Holy shit. I hate to hear that. I haven't heard but my wife has been deathly ill with the flu and I've been focused on her. Thoughts and prayers for the family.

Sad stuff. No seatbelt and believe alcohol was involved. Our group was there wheeling that weekend and headed off the trails Saturday evening as that crew with the tragedy was headed to the trails. Saw lights and heard sirens about an hour later. Very tragic and appears to be very preventable. Buckle up, folks.

I hate feeling like I'm spamming shit, but my family asked me if I could post the info in case someone visiting clayton is looking at doing a weekend house rental. I don't know what the hell it's called, I'm just the messenger

There, I've done my part.

Reported

They need to put a concrete slab, 110/220 service, lights, and a lift in the "carport" then they'd have it made as a wheeler ABnB.
