5 days of wheeling Windrock and more

We have a few rigs from Michigan looking to wheel Windrock and other areas that make sense. Since we would prefer mid TN to be the furthest south we go, what parks make sense to hit on the way home? It seems that the other parks in TN may be too far apart to fit into a week of wheeling. (Adventure, Wooly's, Golden Mtn.) I consider Windrock a 2 day stop. Or, do I have it wrong?

Rigs are all one ton, stickies or 40+ tires, well built, not afraid of trail damage. Drivers all have 10+ years experience with this type of stuff. I've done Windrock twice but none of the other group has so it's part of the "must" list. We have also done Harlan. Maybe other parks in KY to consider?

Thanks in advance.

If you can get into golden mountain I highly recommend it. When you’re at windrock you’re probably not more than 2-3hrs of gmp, aop or Harlan.

Thanks. So if we spend 2 days at Windrock, is there 2-3 days of wheeling at Golden Mtn?

We prefer to not hit Harlan because we have all been there before.

When are you going down?
We are heading down to Windrock the first weekend in May. Going to wheeling with some locals.

There are a ton of parks to go to! I live in Nashville. Winrock is great for a couple of days. I would go to Black Mountain Off-road Park outside of Harlan KY too. Its my favorite place to ride. I love Golden Mountain(GMP) too but you probably could do the whole park in a day. If you have more time you can run to Adventure Offroad Park.

So I would suggest you start in Harlan, spend 2 or 3 days. Then run to Winrock for 2 days. Its not too far to Golden Mountain from there for another day. GMP is only open on the weekends so either call them to set something else up or go on a Saturday. If you have more time you can run to AOP but its a couple of hours further from your home.

Have fun!
