2000 Polaris 6x6 thing $2750 obo

Don't know a whole lot about it other then it starts, goes forward and back like it should, and I think it's got a blown headgasket. It overheats fairly quick with bubbles coming up through the coolant resivoir. No paperwork but I can guarantee you its not stolen and will put my name and info on the bill of sale. It hasn't been registered since 2002 so it's long out of the dmv system anyways. Bill of sale and a Vin verification and you should be set.

Pros:
Cheap
Nothing seems broken
Great newer tires
Newer battery
Dump bed
Obo or trade for???

Cons:
Headgasket issue???
Well used 450ish hrs
Starts with a screwdriver
Won't win any beauty contests

The rust you see is more of just flaking paint/ surface rust and not any actual real rot

I have no idea as to any of this. Except for yes, high and low range.

Back story....
The owner of Mel Cottons sports Store bought a huge island in the delta for his duck club and a fleet of these Polaris 6x things. This one has been sitting around since they knew something was wrong with it and I came in and swooped it up.

I'm working 7 days a week right now and could use the money more then the project due to sheer lack of time

I'll try to get dash pics but as of right now I don't know when I'll be home during dalight for the next few days.

Wall o text from Google for this model

The Sportsman 6x6 is at home on the job, on the trail, or hunting.

*A new member to the Polaris Sportsman family of vehicles, the Sportsman 6x6 has impressive cargo capacity, towing strength, true 6-wheel drive traction, Polaris 500 power, and now it has the Concentric Drive System to fully utilize all its muscle. The Polaris Concentric Drive System (CDS) aligns the swing arm’s pivot point with the center of the drive sprocket, resulting in a consistently efficient delivery of power to the wheels. The rear suspension is not affected by engine torque, and the CDS maintains a consistent chain tension at all times, reducing chain wear and decreasing the need for chain adjustment or maintenance.*

The Sportsman 6x6 has a Polaris 500 4-valve, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled engine with advanced dry sump lubrication system. Electric start is standard, as is the automatic PVT (Polaris Variable Transmission), which requires no shifting and delivers the proper power to the wheels in all conditions, including hauling or towing loads or riding across a rugged work site.*

The transmission is dual-sensing, so it responds to both engine RPM and vehicle torque load for cooler operation and superior backshifting.*

The Sportsman 6x6 can provide additional traction with its Polaris-exclusive true 6-wheel-drive.

*Only Polaris offers such effective 6-wheel-drive, which senses when the rear wheels lose traction, then automatically engages the front wheels with full torque. A thumb switch by the right handgrip lets the driver quickly and easily move between 4-wheel drive and On-Demand true 6-wheel drive while riding.*

E-Z shift allows a driver to choose the desired gear range: high or low forward or reverse. MacPherson strut front suspension provides 6.7 inches of travel. The rear suspension consists of a center swing arm and a rear swing arm with a scissor stabilizer and 7.5 inches of travel.

*Braking is supplied by the single-lever all-wheel hydraulic disc brakes and the hydraulic auxiliary hand brake.

*The Sportsman 6x6 can haul cargo on its front rack (75-pound capacity) or in its new molded rear cargo box. The 800-pound-capacity box won’t rust or show chipped paint, and it has a fold-down tailgate to making loading and unloading easy.*

The Sportsman 6x6 also has a tow hitch and a 1,225-pound towing capacity. Two grille-mounted quartz halogen lights are standard, as are the speedometer, odometer, fuel tank.

FEATURES

• New Sportsman styling, which means its full floorboards and the front cargo rack are made of a durable composite material.

• The cargo box is now made of a tough, durable composite material. It’s stronger than steel and since it’s not metal, it won’t rust. Cargo box has fold-down tailgate and lifts to dump contents.

• New model name and sharp new graphics.

• Polaris On-Demand true 6-wheel drive, Senses when the rear wheels begin to lose traction, then instantly and automatically engages the front wheels with full torque. Thumb switch activates 6-wheel drive system.

• Polaris 500 4-valve, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled engine with an advanced dry sump lubrication system.

• Rear suspension consists of a progressive rate center swing arm with 6.5 inches of travel and a rear swing arm with a scissor stabilizer and 7.5 inches of travel.

• Tight-turning MacPherson strut front suspension with 6.7 inches of travel.

• Dual-sensing fully automatic PVT (Polaris Variable Transmission).

• Single-lever all-wheel hydraulic disc brakes with dual-caliper hydraulic auxiliary hand brake.

• Quartz halogen headlights and a brake light.

• Electric start with recoil backup.

• 4.25-gallon fuel tank.

• Tow hitch is standard, and towing capacity is 1,225 pounds.

• Body panels color: Forest Green
