As you can see in this sequence, my 1/4 elliptic rear had nothing to do with rolling. It was level.

As you can see in this picture, the rear suspension is doing it's job very well. Many people had a very tough time on this obstacle. We scored a perfect "zero" and had one of the fastest times of the weekend.

A nice picture of the suspension working while going down a verticle drop. Several rigs rolled here.

A good picture of a very steep climb. The rear suspension handles STEEP climbs excellent. No hop, etc.

A great picture of me perparing to climb A7. You can see that the suspension is level, but the height of the vehicle makes things interesting. Again, A7 kicked many vehicles asses, even rigs with exotic coil over suspensions like Shannon Campbell's buggy had a very difficult time climbing this. We climbed in on our first attempt, no problem.

A picture of the rear suspension maxed out (check the limiting straps) just before climbing a crazy ass climb on A2. God that was one crazy hole!

The only thing I'm not happy with is that I built the springs myself and I must have used broke down springs on the right side because it always wants to lean too far that way. Even tough it sits level on flat ground.

Lake Rat I like that and you left the sawzall in the box. I want to build a 1/4 elip. but I have no idea how to engineer it at all. I want to leave the rear of my tub on also.

Glondark were you going to post a website or link on the first reply? I would also like some direction on this. I have the equip. and welding skills just no engineering experience.

This will give me an excuse to buy a nice bender and build a custom frame for the cj. By the way Lance you always be GETTIN IT AWN!!!!!!WAY TO GO!!!!

Here is a shot of A 1/4 system I am working on with rocktoy. it doesnt offer as much flex as 4 link (cause of the radius arms) but give the rig about a 60 front 40 rear flex and a ton of stability on and off road. Im toying with the panhard mount to give it more droop... Im after a 50-50 balance. its been tested already and is in fine tune stage.

Do you guys that are currently running 1/4 setups get much rear-steer??? It kind of looks like it on some of the pics, but they are just pics so I can't really tell.

And how do they perform on the street (if any of you drive them on the street that is)???
