Hey man, you mounted them upside-down!

Looks great! What kind of springs did you use?

Your front spring mounts look great. Especially the front one. The rears look good too, but if I was to criticise anything, I would say that the rear 1/4 eliptic mount should have been tucked up so it wouldn't drag on rocks.

front springs are rear dodge 2wd dakota springs with a few cj leave thrown in to start with
these are like 50 some inches long, but off center towards the front
seem like that should keep my tires forward, but give me lots o spring

rears are rear gm leaves from a 3/4 ton cut a few inches from center with the overload spring left intact to help act like a prgressive bump stop

If i tucked the springs up any more they would hit the frame under the back of the jeep. I cut the clamp at a 45 to help slide up on rocks, hopefully. also there will be some what of a crossmember/skidplate under the t-case and that will stick down some as well.

This isn't the hightech part that comes with the links.

so my frame stacking is giving everyone the
how about some input as to why?
Is it b/c it looks boring, or do you feel that they are not structurally sound?
the tubing is stacked and weded at the seam and then there are two plates weded onto each side. I only tried to weld with the "grain" of the metal as instructed by a local fabricator for maximum strength. then one plate was drilled, and a sleave welded in. I now realize that cutting it at an angle would have looked cleaner, but I figured that that drop would be inside the springs thus not going to be caught on anything.

the search button is under the reply thing and search the whole darn board cuz these topics are hidden everywhere
good luck
