YUP TRIED THEM THEY QUOTED ME 11.24 A FOOT.....FOR .375
AND 10.28 FOR .25 WALL.

ALL I NEED IS LIKE 7 FEET

For perspective: We had to get some 3" OD 1/2" wall cold drawn seamless and it was 9.85/foot

Where do you guys from the san jose are normally buy your steel at? i have heard sims for used steel.. and i know of south bay metal in gilroy (where i have been going).... any places that are friendly, helpful, and CHEAP?

For perspective, I just bought a stick of 2" x .25" HREW from tube Works in West Sacramento for $6.20 a foot.

Ok i bought a stick of 1.75x.25 for $5.58 a foot and some 1.25x.281 for $6.80 a foot, Both DOM. Metal supermarkets prices suck, they wanted $91 bucks for 7 feet of 1.25x.281 DOM. But for Smaller stuff and more common stuff they are reasonable.

got 40 feet of 1.75 x .50 today for $8.98 a foot. tought that was a pretty fair price.

Hey, Old Scout. I know you liked the thought of me pulling it out of my ass :flipoff2: but I was quoted 7.10 per foot. Then i got it for 6.00 a foot through a supplier that sold it to me at their cost. I am on the east coast and it was actaully 1.75 x .375 that i bought when i double checked.
