I am kicking around the idea of converting my rear 10.25 to discs. Anyone know of a DIY swap for this axle? I know that TSM used to have the kit but it has since been discontinued. I do not want to use the late model 10.25 discs as they have a metric wheel bolt pattern- I want to keep mine 8x6.5".

Thanks <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

i am planning this swap also. im going to use3/4 ton chevy front discs and calipers. will just make the brackets myself and i dont want an e brake. this may help but he used a tsm kit. just talkto the 14 bolt guys who are doing it, basically the same but the 10.25 is easier cause the drums just come off.

Thanks for the response. Yeah, I've read that article a few times but too bad TSM stopped making that kit. I'll have to check out the 14-bolt stuff, see how that works.

SAY WHAT?????????? I thought you were using the Dodge rotors and the Speedway brackets? What the hell happened to that plan??????

I'm seriously confused, thought you had this all worked out and now sounds like you're back at square one.....

What about a D61su/D70su from a E series van? They use the same wheel bearings, not sure about the spacing on them. Also the 4 bolts on the backing plates appear to be the same distance apart. Again just a thought, never tried it. You would also get the cool drum brake parking brake built right in.

is what i did. this post was before i figured out the above url. the only 10.25 discs i have done so far were with the dodge rotors and speedway brackets and chevy calipers. i built it and it worked out fine, i did not put it in my truck cause i sold it, was offered to much money to say no, but i will be doing it again this summer maybe sooner and this one will actually go in my truck
