What vechiles did GM put 10 botl 8 lug axles on, or was just Dana 44s that came with 8lug.

3/4 ton, if it was 3/4 ton it had 8 lug. 1 ton would have been a D60. They put them in trucks and Suburbans. Not sure if they went in anything else.

im guessing 80-87 3/4 trucks had them. maybe some late 70's. some 3/4 tons are 6 lug, though.

some 3/4 ton's came with dana 44 front with 8 lugs. most rears were 14 bolts, but i have seen a fe 10 bolts with 8 lugs.

I think those are actually semi-floater 14 bolts.

I have a 78 4x43/4 ton w/8 lug 10 bolt corprate front & 14 bolt FF rear & also a 86 chevy 3/4 ton w/8 lug 10 bolt chevy corprate front end & a semi floter14 bolt rear end just to let you no

like i said, ive only seen 14 bolt rear (semi-float and full). i guess i should have wrote it less confusing.

What i meant: on 3,4 tons, i have seen mostly d44 fronts w/ 8 lugs. i have seen 10 bolt font with 8 lug as well.

so yes, you are correct to call the bs

NEWBIE.I HAVE A 89 GMC 1 TON WITH A SINGLE TIRE AXLE.I'M INTERESTED IN CHANGING THE BRAKE TO DISC FROM DRUM.I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO TELL IF I HAVE A DANA 70 OR A CORP. AXLE.:eek:

Won't matter - they use the same brakes.

It's pretty fawkin easy to tell, man. Just do some re. It will probably take a total of 20 seconds for you to find a PICTURE of a 14FF or a D70. Then you can go out and look at it.

Or, you can take a pic, and post it, and we can tell you how dumb you are, but you will still get an answer out of us. :D :D
