If it's at all possible, I'd like to keep all my u-joints the same size on my driveshafts. I've got a Ford D60 front, and 14 bolt, and it'll all bolt up to a ford NP205.

I guess the big question is: Can I get 1410 yokes for all that? Or should I stay with 1350?

Thoughts? Opinions? Bueller?

You can get 1410 yokes for all those pieces.

1410's a nice, they have the same cap size as 1350, but larger crosses, so you can get away with a larger angle.

I run em on mine (Chevy 205 w/Ford front output, 60/70)

Is it safe to assume that Jess has 1410's for everything (highangledriveline)?

When I bought mine(last week)Jess said he didn't recommend the 1410 CV for doing any regular road driving (anything more than a little), so since I do drive mine on the road I went with 1350 CV and 1410 at the pinion (14 bolt).

Yep that's what I`m doing for mine too 1350 CV and 1410 at the pinion. The added cost of the 1410 CV told me I couldn't run em :(

Noobish question -but its a u-joint thread at least.

What are the important measures like width, cup diameter on the 1350 / 1410 / X-297? / Etc U-joints?

Point me to some url if possible.

And yes, i have searched

Jimmy.. they arent a 1410 joint.. they are a bondi & pavoli AG CV.. Driveline service of fresno was the first to make that set up, and jess bought the CV heads from them

All three of these u joints have 1.188" cups.

The 1350 (PN 5-178x) measures 3.622" overall

1410 (PN 5-160x) measures whopping 4.182" overall

I say your full of shit. you got 1310 and 1350.:flipoff2:

What the hell would you do with 7.17s in the diff and a 1450, do you realize how overly strong that would be. I don't think even a clown like you could break that setup if you tried.

BTW you got coilovers on your pile yet, cause my four link is almost done, and then after that its paint the rig and test. We should gather up a couple of goons and go peel out in the snow. (if that stuff exists anymore)

I heard somewhere that a 1350 joint is stronger than a 1410 because they both use the same size caps, but since the 1350 is shorter across, there is less leverage on the "arms", thereby making it slightly stronger than a 1410.

Fact or Fiction?
