Are they all the same?

spindle length?

bearings (id measurements)?

hubs (particularly the placement of the bearings in the hubs)?

year changes that affect one or all of these thing?

Sorry if this sounds like dumbass tech. But have run into a snag on an axle that a buddy bought for his project. It is a RC60 center section with 14 bolt spindles. But the 14 bolt hubs that he bought to use just don't seem to work.

Are there spindles (dana 70, 60 etc.) that are similar but just far enough off to cause grief.

Some limited help from me.

If there are issues, it is likely to be in the "spacing" of the inner and outer bearings.

I do know that many D60, D70 and 14 nolt hubs use the same inner and outer bearings - but I don;t know about the spacing between on the spindle.

It could be that your friends 60 doesn't actually have 14 bolt spindles, and therefore the 14 bolt hubs don't work??

Thanks

That is my fear. But we took mine apart and did some measurements on the spindles and seemed the same.

Any one else?
