After reading the Atlas 6.0 thread.....

wondering if any one has gone to a 203/Atlas?

Seems if one were to use a 3.0 or 3.8. the gear splits wouldnt be as wide.

IE. 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, and 1-6
or
1-1, 1-2, 1-3.8, and 1-7.6

Best for versatility, yes spendy.... The way I was thinking was get a 203/205 adapter and use an atlas with a 205 input?

are you thinking atlas becuase it is light? if so, get a klune, it is light. if not, get 3.1:1 gears for the 203 or lomax 3:1 gears for the 205 and run a doulber. 1:1, 2:1, 3:1, 6 or 6.2:1.

I do, and I like it. I use the 3.0 for loose muddy trails that need tire speed, and the doubler for crawlin. But, for the price and size, a stak might be worth looking at. Either way, the option of 3 speeds is nice.

My settup is Ls-1, Th-400, 203, Atlas 3.0. It is not in the rig yet but I hope to have it built up by the end of the summer. It was pricey but I think worth is so far. Advances makes an adapter for the 203 to atlas, the only problem with is it is the 203 output 10 spline :shaking: .

I will try to get pics when my trans is back from rebuild. :smokin:

Thanks Ross
