The AMC 258's used a thicker flywheel, this is the one with the ring gear close to the edge for the Ford starter. Up to '86.
The Mopar 4.2l used a thinner flywheel with the ring gear more towards the center. '87 up. This uses the Hiaichi starter. It has tone knotches cut into it that matches the earlier 4.0l Renix fuel injection.
The thickness of this flywheel is the same as the 4.0's. The earlier 4.0's used a flywheel like your 4.2's, and the later ones use a similar one but with 12 tone notches set up in groups of 4.
When I put a 4.0 in my '83 CJ-7, I had to adjust the fulcrum for the clutch arm.
