Wife wants bigger tires on her Tahoe and would like to go to 285s if they will work with no lift. Vehicle is only off roaded to launch the boat on the beach and some Forest trails nothing hard. Anyone running these on a Tahoe? Someone suggested to go to 15" rims and 32x11.50x15..

I had my brothers 255/85r16 on my 97 GMC Sierra and had zero clearance problems. I even went to the Tire store and asked for a price for my own set and the guy said they would not fit. I called BS and showed him to which responded "Well the Toyo Tires are bigger" hahaha So now I am in the process of getting a set of 285/75r16 BFG AT's from Summit. Should work fine.

They'll fit with a little torsion bar adjustment at the most. 265s will fit no problem if you are worried.

my buddy is running the 285's and he only rubs when backing up and turning tight. if he did some torsion bar work he would be fine.

Thanks for all the info, I think I'm going to go with the 285s if they don't work we'll try something else.
