How many miles (engine life) can I expect to get out of a Grand Cherokee with a 318(5.2)?

I have 142,000 on my 94 dakota w/ 5spd. Uses 1/3 quart of oil every 3000 miles. For gas mileage I get 13 in town, 16-17 on the hwy.

I've got over 220,000 on my 5.2L ZJ, but I now burn at least a quart of oil every 1500 miles. as far a MPG I don't want to go there, less than 12 MPG overall but I am geared pretty low.

One of my buddies told me that the heads on a 318 have problems with warping. Is this true?

I havent heard of the heads warping. Though, i did have to replace the head gaskets at 55k miles.
I have a 318 in my ram, and i get about 10-13 mpg. I got 15 once doing 45 on the highway.. but then this is in a 5500lb truck on 33" with 3.55 gears.

I wish i had the heart to sell it because i sure would like a TDI VW to cruse around in.. 10mpg HIGHWAY gets old quick

BTW, i have 90k on my engine, and it used about a quart every 4500-5000 miles... which is when i do an oil change anyway.
