SUMMER BROTHERS IS WHAT YOU WANT.
They can make a 1.5" 35 spline Dana 44 axle. It is 270,000psi tensel. They offer a spool to match. The 35 spline custom through hardened axles are about 45% stronger then the 30 spline custom through hardened axles. The guy is faxing me a spec sheet for these axles as I type. Now to the bad part, the $$$
axles 30 or 35 are $598
The spool is $338
a spool is no good with cutting brakessyko said:If your talking rears why not go 1.5 35 spline.

Talk to Maxles Engineering out of Rapid City, SD supposedly they are doing something with dana 50 carriers in a 44 housing and getting 35 spline out of them. I haven't spoke with them so I don't know if this is true or not. It might be worth a shot..
This is info taken from this BB I have no personal knowledge of Maxles
