Hey guys, I have an Dana 44 inner axle shaft that measures 37.2 inches. I can not find a shaft this long on the internet anywhere. Longest I have found is 36.75. My worry is that if I tried to run that shaft it would be too short when turning.
Anyone else running a Dodge 44 with the longer shaft length??

What year Dodge? There is a housing and shaft length difference between 1/2 and 3/4-ton too. (93-older).

How hard are you using it that full spline engagement is critical? I have personally used D60 shafts that were 0.4" too short without issue.

You could order custom shafts to get the length:

From my research it’s from an 80-84 W100 Pickup.
I was just worried about how much spline engagement I would have at full lock if the shaft was .5in too short and I got in a bind.

If anyone else runs across this issue, Moser is custom making a chromoly shaft for $225. Felt that was a respectable price.
