Thanks guys. Ya I was checking out some of those gear ratio charts and they just seem a little high (or i guess low?). Also talks about running higher rpms with an auto and i'll be running an auto so. Thanks for the input.

remember that there are other things to consider when choosing a gear ratio besides the tires. What engine, transfer case gears, auto or manual? Either way I think you would be happy with 5.13 for good street characteristics. If you want offroad performance, then look at gears for the transfer case.

THis is good advice...in a DD (0n 42's:confused:) gear your axles for street performance, and then look for a t-case with the correct gear ratio to give you the off road performance you want. 5.38's are a stronger gear set than 5.13 and are close in ratio...my choice.
