I'm putting this in the hardcore section bc it didn't seem to fit anywhere else.
Build specs
--- 2013 JKU
--- super duty Dana 60 front
--- shaved and trussed 14 bolt
--- 5.38 gears/shaved
--- 14" coil overs and bypasses/inboard rear "FOX"
--- full custom cage
--- fuel cell
--- custom 3 link long arm (front and rear)
--- hydraulic assist steering
***tons of custom fab- most stuff built not bought**

oh and I am 16 and this will be my first vehicle and my every day driver

originally wanted to try and save the factory gas tank and that would not have worked with a four link

it turns out that we had to use a fuel cell anyway bc of the frame modifications required to onboard the rear shocks

yeah my dad used to have a fab business and has built lots of stuff over the years. thats one of the coolest parts of this process to me. building and designing as much as possible rather than buying something and bolting it on.

i've always heard 14 bolts were really strong but they do hang down really low. soooo... we shaved it:)

The shaved ring gear in this picture was the stock part used as a test fit for clearance.

The flange stayed pretty flat during all the welding but did warp a little.

We used a 6x48 belt sander machine to bring it back to flat once everything cooled off.
